Patrick Chu is the Founder and Principal of TDQS – Tax Depreciation & Quantity Surveyors, a specialist commercial quantity surveying firm based in Sydney. With over 30 years of experience across Australia and the UK, Patrick is recognised as one of Australia’s leading experts in commercial property depreciation, asset registers, capital allowances and strategic portfolio optimisation. He has led and advised on major CBD office towers, premium hotels, national retail portfolios and large-scale industrial assets, working closely with fund managers, developers, accountants and institutional owners to unlock significant tax efficiencies and long-term portfolio value.
Born in Malaysia and now based in Australia, Patrick brings a strong cross-border cultural and commercial perspective to his work and is deeply connected with the Malaysian-Australian business community. He is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Registered Tax Agent, and a professional member of both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS).
